About UsOur Services
Finance Tasks and Processes
We can undertake a variety of day-to-day finance tasks, including receipting and bank reconciliations, debtor and creditor processes, general ledger journals, payroll support and review of chart of account structures. We can assist in gaining efficiencies through development of customised and streamlined reporting.
Costing
We understand that it is important to accurately attribute costs to individual services, ensuring the entity is aware of the true cost of service delivery and where applicable any community service obligations.
Ad-hoc advice
Providing ad-hoc advice is one of the most important things we provide our clients. We know that a lot of time can be wasted by your staff investigating and resolving minor issues that we have the answer for. Our priority on any contract is to build and maintain our relationship with your key staff, so they feel comfortable coming to us with questions.
Asset Management and Accounting
Working with local councils and local government authorities, we are highly experienced in the ongoing maintenance of fixed asset registers and asset accounting, whether they be held in a dedicated software package or as an excel spreadsheet. This includes processing and reconciling purchases, disposals, depreciation, revaluations and impairment.
Internal Controls
The numbers provided to management, the council and the community must be accurate, free from error and misstatement and be recorded at a level to provide useful information. We will therefore provide guidance and assistance to ensure all internal controls such as accuracy of coding, debtor management and regular reconciliations are undertaken and reviewed as well as the continuing review of the general ledger structure.
Rating Services and Rating Reviews
With the addition of our Rates Officer, and Rates Specialist, LGiQ is able to offer assistance in the area of Council Rates. This includes day-to-day rates processes such as changes of ownership, payment arrangements, rates enquiries, fines and interest processing. We can also assist with preparing for the new rating year, including rate modelling and generation, declaration of rates and rebate application processes.
